Ramblings, just ramblings
Why do I hate the Xbox?

I have recieved a ton of e-mails asking me why I hate the Xbox. I'm not sure where that idea had come from, but I am here to explain a few things.

First, I will freely admit that I love the PS2. It wasn't that they were faster or had a better ad campaign, I just liked them. It took a lot for me to hang my Nintendo fanboy hat up a long time ago, when I was hoping beyond impossible odds that the N 64 would outshine the PSone. Nintendo, that family-conscience, introduced me to a lot in it's day, but the Sony camp ended up winning.

The Xbox, while I am not a huge fan of, I respect a company for going into the red for millions of dollars just to break into a industry. The games just never have appealed to me. I'm not a fan of Halo, or the sequel. I'm not a huge sports fan, and I don't use the console to connect online for anything, that is why I have a PC. PS2 happened to bring me more games in the genre that I like, which is to say RPG.
Technically speaking, the Xbox is fine. I was leary in the beginning, just because it was a computer basically, and it would mean that it would be easy to port PC games to the Xbox, therefore reaping MS a mighty dollar without putting out new product. But, by and large, the Xbox held it's own.
Over all, I just didn't think the Xbox was for me, and still don't. It had a couple of games I liked, but those for the most part became available on the PC also.
So, let's say I don't hate the Xbox, it just isn't for me. There is still the upcoming 360 to change my mind.
