So, Grand Thieft Auto: San Andreas, has hit stores again. Hundreds of thousands of copies of Rockstar's massive game were recalled due to a unlocking of a scene with the help of the Action Replay code device for the Xbox. Called the 'Hot Coffee' mod, when unlocking the code, you can watch a adult scene with your character and his girlfriend. Ironically enough, Rockstar claimed that they didn't really know it was in there, but with remarkably little pressure, they decided to recall and rew...

So, the advocate against videogame violence is now out of vogue. Lawyer and videogame violence against guy Jack Thompson is now being turned on by people that he once regarded as allies. The news that the National Institute of Media and Family has distanced themselves from Thompson is a letter asking him to stop laying claim to them as a ally. This was only a few days after Thompson had proposed a challenge to the gaming developer community to make a game based on his proposal. The proposa...

Well, I did. I was shocked that it was out. There was very little fanfare about it, and then the TV spots showed up. What do I think from that 20 secs on the air? Thumbs down. The monster didn't look scary, but a albino pig. And I cna't say that a movie that is supposed to be eerie and scary could be with the Rock in it. 'Nuff said.

So, some of you might not have heard of Jack Thompson before. The well-respected lawyer is a furious, angry advocate against videogame violence. Since he has taken his crusade to the media in the last while, he has challanged the makers of GTA and other game makers to pull what he calls filth off the shelves. He has addressed many challenges to game makers to put violence aside. He even yelled frantically that he would never see ' 25 to Life' hit the shelves. Some companies listened, but ...

Do you remember a little game for the Xbox and PS2 called BMX XXX? Sure some of you do, and most likely, some of you bought it. It was a adventurous romp into BMXing and nudity. Critics held it up as another reason to ban games or kill games all together. After all, if our precious kiddies are exposed to these things in a video game, what will come of them? Probably not as bad, since they have the playground at school, and television and movies to fill up the space that the occasional lud...

For all of you that don't repeatedly sit on gaming sites to reap the fresh off the presses news of what is happening in the gaming world, Acclaim Entertainment had offically announced that it will be leaving the videogame industry. The gaming company that has made household names out of games such as Mortal Kombat and Bust-A-Move is seeking Chapter 7 bankruptsy, which means that there is no coming back. This isn't reassessing the assets, this is saying "we pissed it all away". 17 years ...

You might notice that I write a lot of reviews and opinions on gaming. Hell, gaming is my life. If I could make a living at it, you damn well know that I would. Which, brings me to this days last article. I was surfing the web yesterday and went to Ebay, where I looked up Magic: the Gathering and related auctions. Wow, there are a lot of them. I was blessed to have attended the comic convention in Seattle where this game was released. Most people didn't seem too interested, so me and m...

I have seen that the piracy controversy goes through it's ups and downs. We are coming out of the P2P issues and moving back to warez. Microsoft has sent out a internal memo that got sent to all it's past and present contract members and employees. I am assuming there is one somewhere deep in my own inbox, but a friend called me up with it. The jist of it is this: " If there is any indication that a employee of Microsoft, or any of it's defined Workgroups, are using pirated software, or downl...
