Will Roland get it in the end?
Stephen King, most of you know who he is.
He is a man with over thirty-five best sellers, world-wide best sellers I might add.
He is the man that helped bring back the horror genre in books. Not Thrillers, but genuine horror. Many of you have probably read at least one of his books. But have you read the Dark Tower series?
Now, I am not a science fiction kind of person. Things like Star Trek, as a example, don't do it for me. But, these series of books are amazing, at least to me and a few friends that I have gotten to read them.
In the first one, The Gunslinger, we meet a man named Roland, and he is a cop from the Wild Wild West..best way I can describe it. His world is falling apart, and he is on a quest to the Dark Tower, the nexus of the infinite worlds. He meets a bunch of people on his way and it becomes a grand epic. For those of you who don't know it, maybe try reading it.
For those of you that have read them, maybe like them, let's continue.
The series is coming to a close. It took Stephen King getting hit by a van to finish these stories. In Septemeber, Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower wil lbe released. I pre-ordered my copy, of course, and travel ebay looking for Advance Readers Copys to buy, like I did with Wolves of Calla.
My post is more of a question:
Will Roland make it to the tower, or will he fall to his bastard child Modred? Please feel free to comment
