Ramblings, just ramblings
The end of a series?

I found a little rumor on the internet that claims that X-3 will be the finale of the series. Why was I so gullible?

First, rumors that Bryan Singer will NOT be returning to X-3:

*taken from interview with James Marsden from Killermovies.com :

Regarding Bryan Singers ambitions to return to the directors chair, he said, "Yes, I know he really wants to. I think he’s also trying to figure out scheduling the shoot against he’s doing Logan’s Run. So he’s trying to figure that out, so there’s lots of things. Although, Fox already nabbed the weekend of May 2nd, 2006 to release X-men 3 but that’s subject to change as well. It could go to Christmas."

Marsden, who plays Cyclops, the X-Men Team Leader, also is quoted talking about Halle Barrie's return:

Asked whether this person was Halle Berry, he replied, "I don't know that for a fact though because I just spoke with the writers and they said, “Oh, it might not be the case.” So I don't know. I have no idea. I talked to Hugh Jackman the other day and he said, “Do you know anything about X3?” And I said, “I haven’t a clue.” “All right, when they call you, tell me. Call me and tell me.”"

X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner says that X-Men 3 is scheduled to begin filming in Vancouver, in June 2005, with a release date of May 2, 2006. "I just had a conversation with [director] Bryan [Singer] today," Shuler Donner told Sci-Fi Wire. "We just started to talk about what the possibilities are. We're pretty sure Wolverine's going to come back."

Shuler Donner says that Gambit and Beast may appear in the third movie. "I'm dying to put Beast in," Shuler Donner said. "I tried to get Beast in the first one and the second one, but it was always too expensive. So, yeah, I'm really dying to get Beast in, and I'd love to get Gambit in, because he's such a cool guy. And there's some really good casting ideas for Gambit."

On Halle Berry returning as Storm, she said, "I certainly hope so, because I love working with her. ... We would only write a big huge role for her, so she's right in that respect, and we would make sure that that would happen."

Shuler Donner says that X-Men 3 will deal partly with the Dark Phoenix storyline that was briefly explored in the second movie. "We will follow it through in some respect, absolutely, yes," she said. "And we love Famke [Janssen] anyway, so, yeah. Well, she's Dark Phoenix. She's Jean Grey."

Now, the Infamous Halle Barrie Quote:

Halle Berry has beens speaking to South Jersey about her upcoming roles in Catwoman and X-Men 3.

On 'Catwoman' she says, "I'm finding Catwoman right now and she's fierce. She's nothing nice."

"You should see me on Catwoman," she adds. "I'm balls to the wall, and they're saying, `Didn't you just have a broken arm?' I'm, like, `So what! Let's go.' I love that stuff."

Although Berry isn't officially signed up to make any more X-Men movies, she says she'd come back for another if "they could give Storm a little bit more to do." Even if she's relegated to the background, she'll likely return. "I'm so connected to the group that I would come back."

Since the reported rumors are that the story Arc is continuing to finish up the rest of Wolverine's past, there is not a lot for others to do. Wolverine, which has to be the most famous character in the known comic universe, is a big draw to the theaters. If Singer keeps up with the first rate job, it will go smoothly.

So, the worries of the floudering of the series are greatly exagerated. It seems that everything is on track, and aparently filming will start.
In the X-men movies, what would you like to see, and who is your favorite character/villian?
