The Legend of Zelda: GC exclusive Collection

After a few months of purchasing my GC, there came a deal that offered a limited bonus disc with a collection of LoZ games.

The powers to be at Nintendo offered a limited edition collection disc of The Legend of Zelda. In included the two classic games for the NES, and the two offered for the Nintendo 64. I was a little bitter at the fact that it came free with the GameCube, and that it was not available for retail. I went in search, but, alas, no one wants to give it up. I found one used copy, but wa gone before I got back from the bank.
So, I really want it, and watch for it carefully. Classic Zelda (wasn't a huge fan of Orcarina, never played Majora), on a next gen system.
I only wish they had put Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past on it too. If you find it, it's a for sure gotta have game.

It also came with a subscription to Nintendo Power. That's why I subscribed to the magazine (I miss my old issues, why oh why did I get rid of them?!). I've only played the first Zelda on it, but I'll eventually finish Zelda 2, Ocarina, and Majora, and then I'll be set for Windwaker, FOur Swords Adventure, and the next one they're making..
I think they chose not to have a Link to the Past on the disc because they wanted to sell copies of their Game Boy Advance version.

A Link to the Past is an excellent game! Every time I think I scoured the land enough, there is always something extra. I'm almost finished with A Link to the Past, though. I'm on my way to getting the 8th Crystal.

Link to the Past isn't on the disc for two specific reasons:
1) The GBA port of it is still for sale. (Also, the Zelda collection disc mentions that all of the Zelda games are now playable on the Gamecube if you include the Gameboy Player allowing you to play Gameboy carts. Even the earliest Gameboy Zelda wasn't included on the disc.)

2) Nintendo did not have a Super Nintendo emulator for the Gamecube freely available. They did have Gamecube-based NES and N64 emulators available though. The NES emulator is used quite a bit, particularly in Animal Crossing but also in various other titles. The N64 emulator was used for the first Zelda disc as well as a few others.
