Rating the Game

Tired of amazingly cheerful reviews?

It occured to me that every game that is put out is a sensational hit.

I realize that people are paid to tote the party line for developers of console and computer games, but really..how do these people sleep at night? The abjectives that are used to discribe the crap that gets put out amazes me sometimes. I scrap better things off the soles of my shoes.

So, when a friend introduced me to GameRankings.com, I was scepticle. I mean, another review site. What made it a little different was that users like you and me could rate the games.....

and some of them don't pull their punches. We have a comprehensive list of games and systems, and just reading some of the reviews makes me laugh. After all, we are reading reviews that come from people that had sat through some of the crappiest sludge that the gaming industry ever put out. Britney Spears Dance for PS1? There. Hell, I wet my pants just looking at some of the games for the jaguar and 3DO.

The best thing about gamerankings.com is that they compile all the ratings that a game gets in different places. If the ratings for the game is rated good by several reviewers from different game review sites, it's likely that the game is really good.
