Everything that it Could be?

A couple of weeks ago, there was a intense rush going through all the gamers I knew in my old town. With the death of True Fantasy Live Online, the future of the Xbox relied on one other game coming out. That game, ladies and gentlemen, is Fable. THe epic RPG that judges you on every little dicision you make affects you in some way down the road. Sound familiar? There was a Ultima game that followed the same sort of thing. Ultima: Quest of the Avatar was the one, and since I only played it on the NES, I am guessing that the PC one is the same.

Regardless, moving on....

I read up on a lot of stuff for Fable, not owning a Xbox to try it out, but interested nothertheless. From where I stand, it looks like it might open up a new market of buyers for the Xbox. I actually now people that have decided to buy it based on the trial version that came out with Xbox magazines. Not to mention the commercial time it has been getting. The RPG market for the Xbox has been less than stellar, and maybe Microsoft has decided to get going and add some hits to that line up. Hell, I'm sure Nintendo would be happier today if it kept the Final Fantasy Line of games.

I plan on renting Fable, but it any of you have some thoughts, please feel free to share your opinions.

I played Ultima IV on the PC back in the day and it really was the first game with moral consequences. It was carried to an extreme though, like, I remember finding a weapon thats literally buried in the middle of no where, and sure enough I lost my Honesty Virture the moment I tried to pick it up. At one part you get this skull and you have to promise to use it only to destroy it. Well I tried it out and after levelling the medival version of a nuke I lost all my 8th, meaning I had no chance of ever becomming the avatar now, I saw why. The whole town's population was gone, period, poof no more. It was a really fun game.
