Ramblings, just ramblings
A OJ sized spectacle?

As many of you know, Michael Jackson is in the middle of what will be the biggest battle of his life.

The 45 year old Jackson is once again in the butcher's block for child molestation. The case is being tried and as we speak, is in the middle of being judged.

For those of you that don't know, another boy came forward with alledged child molestation charges against the 'king' of pop music and since then, the heat has been on.
Police in Santa Barbara had raided the Neverland Ranch as part of evidence gathering for the case. Unlike the last alligation that took place over ten years ago, Jackson has decided to fight the charges and see that his name is cleared this time. Under the circumstances of the last child molestation charge, settling out of court for a reported one million dollars in 1990, and a recorded 25 million in 1992, people are less likely to believe that Jackson was innocent at the time.

But, isn't it possible that there are people out there that are less than nice that would take advantage of the situation of a super star that was hanging out with their child? IT seems that the idea had never crossed a lot of people's minds. It is also interesting to note that DA Tom Sneddon, the man responcible for the cases back in the early 90's is in the middle again. The man once put into one of Jackson's own songs to point out how much of a bad man the DA was.

" The 12 year old boy (in the case) and his family are more concerned about justice than money this time," Sneddon was quoted in saying after Jackson subjected himself to finger printing in February. "They're aware of the risks involved, and they've still cooperated with us," Sneddon said. "I think it would be really unfair to be talking about these people as if they want to get even with Michael Jackson or something like that."

Compared to the 1993 case, however, the current allegations could be settlement-proof, Sneddon said.

"In the 1993-94 case, a child victim had the right not to testify if they chose not to, and could still have a civil settlement," Sneddon said. "The law has been changed now. If you take a civil settlement you don't have that privilege not to testify anymore."

Though it remains unknown whether the alleged 1993 victim, now in his 20s, would be willing to testify in the current case should it go to trial, Sneddon said the evidence would be admissible to demonstrate prior criminal behavior — so long as the man backed up his claim in court.

"Otherwise you just could bring in anybody off the street to say 'Oh, this happened, this happened, I heard it third-hand hearsay — which is totally unfair."

Jackson reached a multimillion-dollar settlement with his alleged victim in the 1993 case, drawing an end to criminal charges brought against him

The court case was set for September of this year.

Did Jackson shoot himself in the foot? In a documentry that was shot in the early 2000s, the singer was quoted in saying " There is nothing more special you can do with a kid then share your bed." After the call offs of the court cases in the 90's, you would think that Jackson had learned his lesson. Amidst controversy, Jackson even married Elvis Presley's daughter, Lisa Marie. Many think that it was a tactic, and none were surprised that the marriage didn't last. Was it something to try and separate him from the accusation? I think it was.
Next, the marriage of Debbie Rowe and his children. Now, as the accusations come out, she has come forward to point out her views, but what does she really know? she was the assistant to his plastic surgeon and while they were married, Debbie never lived at Neverland Ranch.
It seems that the celebrities that once supported Jackson have let his side, including Elizabeth Taylor.

So, did he do it? The circumstancial evidence at this time see to put Jackson in a bad light. As with the case of Martha Stewart, courts are also starting to forget the leanancy that they have showed celebrities in the past. If he is convicted, Jackson could be spending a long time in prison.
The bad part of this is that if he is innocent, something like this will never leave him. His finacial empire is already being brought to its knees, and the spending that goes on can't last much longer. What if Jackson is just as child-like as he is protrayed, and doesn't know better? A man like Jackson can't make it alive in a placelike prison.

I guess we will see when the trial comes close to a end.

What do you all think?

I don't know. If Jackson is guilty, hope he befriends "bubba" in prison. If he isn't, I hope the parents of child who taught the kid the intimate details i order to be rich falls and kill themselves.

About the only worse thing than pedophile is caretaker that don't care about child and want to make massive profit. Not by very much, however.
