In our training enviorment at work, we were introduced to Wikipedia.org for fun. I got hooked really bad on all the fun hyperlinking and jumping from subject matter to subject matter. So, I wrote a brief history of my online roleplaying character named Parm in Final Fantasy XI. I was surprised ot see that one of the categories that it was in was up for deletion.
Now, I admit, I am not heartbroken by any means, but it was my impression that Wikipedia was a open-ended encyclopedia that allowed users to go in and write articles. Apparently, according to the so called 'rulers' of Wikipedia, I had it all wrong.
So, if you go to Wikipedia, look up Parm in the search. If it's there, a interesting beginning to a story is there. If it isn't there, you will know that Wikipedia, while being a 'cool' site, is really like every other site. If it goes, I will maybe post it here.
