This has been the year of the New Game. I make a difference in that there are a lot of new, kick ass games. I have spent so much time reading and playing about games that my social life has gone to hell. I have comprised a small top five list for you.
1. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Who DOESN'T love this game. It took a idea and not only trumped it predessor, but beat it so bad that GTA one felt it. This is soley the best game so far.
2. Final Fantasy XI: After some time away, Van'Diel called me back and I haven't regretted it since. The expansion, Chain of Promathia hasn't done much for me yet, but there is still time.
3. Half Life II: Now, I haven't played it, but my roomate has it and he played it constantly. It looks like a amazing game, and well worth the wait.
4. Pikmin II: I will say this about it..if you were ever addicted to Lemmings, stay away!
5. Katamari Damasy: If you haven't seen it, it is worht the price since it is a cheap game. It is a Japanese game ported to NA, and all you do it rebuild the universe..with a giant sticky ball that picks up items and grows..that is the best explanation I can give you..pick it up!
