Ramblings, just ramblings

So, it seems that once again, talks between the NHL and the players that have made it what it is have broken down again.

This year has bee na sad year for most of the fans of the national sport of Canada, since a lot of time is spent with friends watching our national sport. Since the strike began, people and businesses have been hoping that the strike would oly be minor and things would get back on schedule. Pubs are being affected the most, squarely based on the fact taht hockey, and the gathering of hockey fans produces most of their revenue in the off season.

Retail businesses that rely on the selling of merchandise are suffering too. Hockey and hockey related items such as jerseys and posters are down pretty much to the lowest point in a long time. Fans are angry and i don't blame them.

What the hockey players have to realize, and most of the other professional sprts players out there is that their fans made them what they are. They might have a great skill at the sprt they play, but ultimately the fans that choose and place players and sports on pedastils. To strike for more money in a sport where the players are well-paid for less than a years work is unfair to those fans, and pretty much disgusting. I sit here in front of my computer after a 11 hour day, not all that unusal and piuck up a newspaper that says negotiations have broken down because of money. From the standpoint I am looking at, the players aren't even caring about the lack of sports for the fans. Where do they think the money comes from? It is a sad thing if they don't realize that the public brings them their paychecks, including the ones from advertisements.

So, to anyone that is a professional hockey player...stop F'ing around already and get back on the ice. Stop thinking about your wallets and think about the fans that support you.
