Ramblings, just ramblings
I bought a 360

So, I was lounging around with my roomate the other night and we got to talking about the Xbox 360.

I truely thought about this for a long time. I am a fanboy, yes, for Sony. But, I weighted the pros and cons about getting a 360 or waiting for the PS3.

First things first, there is take that the PS3 won't be released until 2007. Wow. I mean, I understand that the quality of this next system has to be perfect for coming out of the gate, but that is a lot of time to give the competition. While the PS2 had a good lead out of the gate last time, this time....I'm lost.

Hardware wise, I still stand by my belief that the PS3 will be a better piece of hardware. Again, the specs put it ahead. But, I don't want to wait a year for a new system. The different lines for the Xbox 360 were interesting. I got the better deal, because the extras that you get for $100 more dollars was unbelievable. A 20 GB HDD, wireless controller, Live Silver, and the DVD remote control is a bundle that is worth more than the money that you pay for the upgraded bundle.

But, hardware aside, what about the games?
I picked Perfect Dark Zero and Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, and did my research.

From the look of PDZ, I was amazed. I was in love with the original on the doomed N 64 system. What it looked like, is that they took all the great features of many FPS and added all of them together to make this one. Plus, the graphics blew me away. While Elder Scroll has always had great graphics, the 360 made this one look high end PC look.

So, I traded in a bunch of stuff that I don't use anymore and put down the credit for the 360. I believe that I made a sound decision. Besides, if I don't like it, I can trade it in for a PS3 later on.
