Well, it has been almost two weeks sice I updated..being a corporate whore in a large company doesn't do much for life except make it a huge thing revolving around work. But, on the plus side, I know get to post my thoughts about WoW. First off, I spent a entire weekend playing it with very little sleep. I have to say that the one thing that has entertained me a lot is the soloability at the early lvls. I myself play on Kal Jadein (?) and have had a great time. Anyone wanting tgo send ...

It is truely amazing where your life could lead you. I, for instance, never thought I would have quit FFXI for WoW. First, let me add my two cents into the ring. It is a freaking good game. Blizzard took a game, made it ten times better than anything else it has ever made, then made it 100% better than that. So, by calculations, it is 1000000000 times better than the other MMORPGs. I exaggerate, but you get the point. Blizzard took all the promblems of the other games nad mad ethem disappe...

YOu have probably hear, through amazingly great sources and people that can be trusted to give you the low down on the latest entertainment news and they are reliable. Of course they are. I talk to hundreds of people a day that are 'experts' at everything on the geek side. From various opinions on how the next Star Wars movie is goign to be, scene by scene, to people telling me exactly where the flaws in Windows Longhorn will be, I have to sit back and sift through the hundreds of pounds of c...

A co-worker picked up the latest Vanity Fair for the Star Wars article in it and brought it to work. After shifting through the same boring article that accompanied the first two movies in Vanity Fair around their time of release, I looked around and found something more disturbing. In the UK, a boy was arrested for attempting to kill another boy, a friend that he had on MSN. THe twist is that the boy that was supposed to be murdered planned it. "Mark" was a boy that got caught in the...

Apparently in the face of amazing controversy to whether they would do it or not, Square-Enix sanctioned and eliminated accounts of known gil sellers. Damn, I had wished I had been there for that. With the Dec. update, the idea apparently was to watch who camped what, who's accounts were linked, and who was making real life profit while violating the T&C's of Square-Enix. This is apparently the first in a current watch protocol that has been insituted to prevent further abuse of the gam...

okay, Doom, everyone's favorite resource hog for the PC has been optioned for a movie. Not only that, but the script is in final working stages. For some reason, it doesn't involve Mars, Hell, or things that connect the two. I think this is a horrible idea, and once again brings into question the intelligence of the people tha make moves. But that is my opinion. Please, discuss.

Taken from BBC News: US military pondered love not war The US military investigated building a "gay bomb", which would make enemy soldiers "sexually irresistible" to each other, government papers say. Other weapons that never saw the light of day include one to make soldiers obvious by their bad breath. The US defence department considered various non-lethal chemicals meant to disrupt enemy discipline and morale. The 1994 plans were for a six-year project costing $7.5m, b...

a new year is upon us in movie land and that brings a host of bad, good, and all the rest as far as movies go. Whetehr it is a movie that is given a award before it has hit the theater (The Aviator), or another Marvel spinoff fight fest (Elecktra), there is something for everyone this year. Elecktra : Let's start here, shall we? A spinoff from the worst grossing Marvel comic adaption to date, Elecktra is the tale of a woman that has mystical powers and fights some bad guys. When script ap...

So, about the time the christmas started flaoting around, a bunch of people in my family recieved MP3 players for christmas. After all the huffing and puffing about there being little solution for the ongoing war against piracy, it struck me funny that the MP3 player is still a sought after accessory. All the big companies have been fighting this 'illegal' format, going so far as to change the law to make backing up music in this format technically illegal. So, I was amused to find that t...

I was working quietly when one of the girls came around ot talk to our line group. My line group at work is one of the loudest, funniest in the universe. We were in the middle of discussing the subject that I brought to JU earlier, the I hate George Lucus thing. She sat in her chair patiently, listening to us talk, and then got up and left. Her parting shot was " You guys are such geeks." Well, actually, we are. But why is that a bad thing? There were times when being who you were was...

I think it all started back during Episode I. Yeah, you all know what I am talking about. The excitment and the hype had built up over the year.." OMG, a new, brand new Star Wars Film!" The excitment in the air was too much. Like many people, I wasn't born to see the first one in the theaters and the other two I was too young to remember. Even the re-screening of the 'mediocre' Special Edition was fine, but the additions were not really worth the cash that was raked in. I personally loved...

My roomate did a great thing yesterday. Maybe it wasn't cure cancer or bring world peace, but it was something of a gamer's delight... He bought Resident Evil 4. Now, I wanted to stay as far away from the hype as possible. When they make a controller specifically for a game, and it looks like a chainsaw, you know it might be a good idea to walk away and lower your eyes muttering " no, no,no, baaaddddd." Unfortunately, I can't report that. For 2.2 hours I watched as the game unfolded ...

There is a pattern to my reading. Every year, there are acertain books that I will read again and again. Every Christmas, I will try and Read Stephen King's IT, every summer I will try to read Queen of the Damned or LotR. And every Spring? The Last Herald Mage. This is a trilogy by a talented author by the name of Mercerdes Lackey. This set of three books was given to me by a friend when I came out. It was a interesting book, set in a fantasy kingdom, and the first novelized character ...

So, I started seeing this guy. He is amazing in every single way. I could totally see falling in love with him. He has this kind of side to him that apparently a lot of people have a issue with. He is a Furry. TO be honest, before we started dating and all that, I had a really strange view of what a furry was. I went to a comiccon one year and I had this little beanie baby teddy attached to my backpack, and some random boy started following me. This was my first encounter with a furry and...

Sam Raimi has decided we all need to take a look back at a simpler time. A time before the Power Rangers and Spiderman made him a super star. I'm talking about when a little-known director and a little known B-actor named Bruce Campbell filmed a cult classic called The Evil Dead. the premise of the movie surrounded a cabin and the book of the dead, the Necronomicon. Bruce loses some people, death ensues, and it spawned two sequels that went on to be even large cult classics. So, now, w...
