There was a interesting blog about possible Villians for Spiderman 3. Since the questions were asked before the new movie was out, I figured it will be cool to look back and figure out what might happen by re-examining the characters. The Hobgoblin. It has been a long time since I have picked up a Spiderman comic book, but I was sure that the Hobgoblin was no way related to the Green Goblin, which, he wasn't. Check out the link: http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/Hobgoblin%20(Spi...

The Nintendo GameCube. Ahh, that solid little box that could be easily picked up and used to bash a robbers head in, yet won't strain your wrist in picking it up. Joking aside, as far as Next Gen consoles are concerned * Even though the Next Gens are nowon their way, ala PS3*, the GC came in last. It was even beat by it's handheld buddy, the GameBoy Advance. Regardless of somehow winning the rights for exclusive Capcom's mega-trillion selling Resident Evil franchise, what had the GC goi...

First, she was " Born to Make you Happy" in her " Baby One More Time" kind of way. Then, she was " Lucky" to be a " Slave 4 U". Now, she's " Against the Music" " In the Zone." Britney. There was a time that Britney Spears was a well-rounded individual. That sweet little girl from Louisianna, with her music vidoes and her bubble gum pop music that was so easy to tap your toes to, regardless of your hatred towards the genre. She made a career floating in when the boy bands ruled the ear...

I was walking past a cd shop on the way home yesterday when I saw a familiar sight: The Nine Inch Nails logo on a cd cover. As I have always been a huge fan of Nine Inch Nails, I was interested and immediately wandered in to take a look. I picked it up, and on the spine of the CD is said Halo 18. 18? For those of you who don't know, Trent Reznor, the mind behind the Industrial/Alternative band called Nine Inch Nails hooked fans a long time ago by coming up with a album scheme to sell hi...

The one thing I get asked a lot as a techie and a gamer is: What video card should I get. The choices, back in the day of old school computer electronics was simple. You picked up, pretty much, the highest quality video card you could get, because the technology was still running up the scale. When the videocard started to self-multiple in the same year, things got sticky. My favorite videocard is still the Voodoo 5. I got it from a auction on Ebay after the product line got dumped whe...

I had a person come into my place of work yesterday with a resume. He wandered up the to counter and proudly handed me his resume. I work in a computer shop, one of the small outfits that does a steady stream of repairs. His resume said he had a degree in English, basically a Fine Arts Degree. That is cool, University degrees are important... Or so I was lead to believe. I hold a BoCS degree from a nice university. 17% of Canadians apparently finish their post secondary education and ...

Like the rest of you, I ponied up my money a little while ago to watch the third silver screen adaption of J.K. Rowlings wildly successful franchise, Harry Potter. The third movie was a different movie, I'lll give you that. I, too, was worried about the change of the director. I had yet to see his movie, Y' Tuma....whatever it was called. All I knew was that the Harry Potter I knew was starting to diminish, especially after hearing months of rumors that it wasn't even going to be made. But...

Okay, this is eating at me. I answered a blog about being gay. There was a person that jumped right in about the bible. Now, I am not a religious person. I have a hard time accepting blind faith. I am really sick of people judging me for what I do in my home. It is not always a direct accusation, but a general accusation that infolds me because I belong to what is considered a sub-class of the human race. People say all the time that gay people are a abnormality, and that they were never ...

In every group, there has to be a person that is the crying post. You know, when something goes wrong, they seek the shoulder. If there is a dispute between cliche members, you are the mediator. I know, because I am that person. I really think that people have a capacity limit when it comes to the suffering of others. Some people have no time or patience for other people's problems. They are really wrapped up in their own thing, which is cool. Some people can't take the hurt or pain of ot...

Life is a fickle thing, especially when it comes to love. There are many people, much like I am, sititng in front of their computer, and chatting with someone. Mine: he's 23, from Australia, and he is coming out. The first simple question is: Why me? To sidetrack for a bit, my friend Katie answered this question for me. " You are the perfect starter boyfriend." What the fuck does that mean? Simply put, again, I am a good starter model. I am that car that the 16 year old buys when ...

If you have read any of my other blogs, you'll notice a trend. I am your average geek. One of my passions is reading books. Horror novels. But I have a beef. I'm staring RIGHT at you Miss. Rice. That is right, Anne Rice, author of over twenty books, most of those one long series of vampire novels, starting with Interview With a Vampire. Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of her writing. She writes beautifully, and as a fledging writer myself, I hope to write as well as her one day. But, t...

So, like a billion people in the greater North America, I too sauntered to the movie theater with a pack of friends and took in the summer spectacular Harry Potter and the .....wait, wrong article. This is about everyone's favorite blue and red super guy. Spiderman. I liked the movie. There is something to be said for watching a movie where, for the first half, things get significantly worse for the lead character. Late rent, guilt over killing his uncle (accessory I think it would be), lo...

Well, that isn't true. A few months ago, in Jan, I started a Live Journal. I felt great, because to a degree, it allowed me to skip more social gatherings, and avoid lenghtly phone calls from well-wishers and friends that tie up my time and kept me from Final Fantasy XI. The Live Journal was a way for me to express myself, and get out things that bothered me, things that made me happy, blah blah, you get the picture. The problem was, part of the reason I started a Live Journal was becau...

Stephen King, most of you know who he is. He is a man with over thirty-five best sellers, world-wide best sellers I might add. He is the man that helped bring back the horror genre in books. Not Thrillers, but genuine horror. Many of you have probably read at least one of his books. But have you read the Dark Tower series? Now, I am not a science fiction kind of person. Things like Star Trek, as a example, don't do it for me. But, these series of books are amazing, at least to me and...
